Vision & Mission
Formed in 2006. Swasti Welfare Trust aspires to deepen the awareness of moral values and social responsibilities to promote sustainable development in the fields of health and education of all sections of the society.
Swasti Welfare Trust desires to bring the best services in health and education within the reach of the middle class and the economically disadvantaged.
A JOURNEY WELL CHERISHED
To provide some relief and comfort from the soaring high expenses of health and education, we had drafted different projects through the concerted efforts of the people. We realised that in spite of being an ancient, prosperous and immaculate town with a fame ambient throughout West Bengal, Bansberia lacked proper dental healthcare facilities.
Dental health is one of the many aspects in life which people tend to neglect firstly because of the lack of proper knowledge and secondly due to expensive treatment procedures but we cannot deny the fact that untreated dental issues may sometimes lead to serious disorders. Considering the economic context of the area, we proposed to set up a modern and well equipped dental daycare centre that would deliver affordable dental treatment services to all.

Implementation of the project required Rs. 50lakhs but due to financial constraints, BIJOY KRISHNA SARASWATI DENTAL CLINIC was initially set up in a rented space of about 600 sq. ft. with facilities of scaling, denturing, bridging, root canaling and other dental treatment services at prices 40% less than the market rates and outdoor care at Rs. 50/- only on 6th August 2006.
On 1st September 2009, we purchased our 1st RCT machine from a BEUP grant of Rs. 1,00,000/-.
The 2nd dental engine was bought on 23rd July 2011 worth Rs. 1,50,000/- received from the BEUP grants. To counter the frequent power supply failures in the area we purchased our 1st green generator for Rs. 1,91,000/- on 13th April 2013 from the BEUP grants as well.

To meet the needs of the community, we had to expand our capacity and in the process, we purchased a piece of land (0.101 acres) on 11th June 2010. Construction of the new building and the ground floor (3,000 sq. ft.) dedicated to a more spacious and updated dental daycare unit commenced with the help of funds received from MPLAD(Rajya Sabha) grant of Rs. 10,00,000/- on 29th June 2011 and contribution of Rs. 15,00,000/- from other sources. It was inaugurated on 18th December 2012. The total cost of the project was Rs. 30,00,000/-. The 1st floor of the building (3,600 sq. ft.) which costed nearly Rs. 40,00,000/- was completed with funds collected from a MPLAD(Lok Sabha) grant of Rs. 5,00,000/- on1st April 2013, a MPLAD(Rajya Sabha) grant of Rs. 15,00,000/- on 25th November 2013 and from other local benefactions.
